Manuel Andrés Chicote is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Valladolid (2010) where he also obtained the title of Specialist in Air Conditioning Engineering (2012) and carried out studies leading to the International Doctor’s degree under the Official Doctoral Program in Thermal Engineering and Fluid-mechanics (2015) based on his thesis work "Energy and thermal comfort analysis of sustainable thermal conditioning strategies for buildings based on radiant systems".
His professional career has been linked since 2010 to the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in buildings and industry, starting as a technician in the Spanish Association of Renewable Energy Producers (APPA) and being subsequently linked to the Department of Thermal Engineering and Fluid-mechanics of the University of Valladolid as University Teacher Training (FPU) Program Fellow, Junior Researcher and Adjunct Professor since 2011, and as Assistant Professor (PAYUD) since February 2022. Between 2016 and 2022 he worked as a Researcher in the Energy Division of the CARTIF Technology Center, being Director of the Energy Systems Area for 2 years and currently maintaining a close collaboration with the center in R&D activities.
