Dr. Yolanda Arroyo Gómez

Yolanda Arroyo Gómez is graduated in Chemical Sciences and is Senior Lecturer of the University of Valladolid at the High Technical School of Industrial Engineering. From 2015 she is member of the Consolidated Research Unit 053, collaborating actively with the Recognized Research Group Thermal Energy Engineering.

From her beginnings as a researcher (1991), with her degree dissertation, till 2013, her research activity has been carried out in the field of Asymmetric Organic Synthesis.

From that moment till now, her new field of study is the applied chemistry focused on the searching of alternative fuels to fossil ones. She is centered in the physical and chemical composition characterization of these biofuels and the study of their combustion for thermal purposes, paying special attention to the energy efficiency and the contaminant emissions in order to reduce them to the maximum and always below the established thresholds by regulation.

Research Projects

  1. The University of Valladolid towards a sustainable energy system: High Indoor Environment Quality, competitive and decarbonized

  2. Analysis of energy-efficient technologies for building sustainability
